Description
A 'juliet' -style cap, of crimson velvet, trimmed with fur. The cap is lined with white silk which bears the branding of the makers Ede & Ravenscroft of London. The cap is decorated with fine gold braid, in a knot at the centre crown ending in drop pearls. Designed by Norman Hartnell of London. Worn by Baroness MacDermott at the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II on June 2nd 1953 ( with HOYFM.381.1996A,C,D).
