Object Name: GAA Jersey
Description: In 1885, the Rev. J. O’Reilly, a native of Loughguile in County Antrim and curate in St Mary’s, Chapel Lane, Belfast, founded the Belfast Gaels, the first GAA club in Belfast and County Antrim. In 2007, the name Belfast Gaels was adopted by employees of Belfast City Council who created the first GAA team drawn from council staff.
