Printed chromolithograph poster free with 'United Ireland' Saturday journal. Titled 'Left Out in the Cold' featuring spectral figure 'Irish Want' addressing richly dressed Lord Chancellor regarding hunger in Ireland. Signed by J. D. [John Dooley] Reigh. By the early 1880s he was contributing a weekly coloured cartoon for the Saturday edition of 'United Ireland', generally favourable to the paper's founder, C. S. Parnell and the Irish Parliamentary party. His work also appeared in 'The Nation' and 'Shamrock'.
