Description
Linen collar with shamrock motifs, believed to have been removed from a coat. This linen collar was embroidered by Lily Yeats, sister of the poet W.B. Yeats.As an active member of the Dun Emer Guild, formed as part of the Arts and Crafts movement within Ireland, which sought to develop a successful Celtic-themed craft and design industry in the early 1900s. Dun Emer’s aim was to find ‘work for Irish hands in the making of beautiful materials.’
