Scope and content: Small book written by Ardigh for The Catholic Truth Society of Ireland. It is about the persecution of the Irish and Catholics in Ireland, particularly the time of the Penal Laws during the 16th and 17th centuries. The booklet includes a photo of a mass station in 1860, a bog chapel in Antrim, drawings of mass in penal times capture of Irish girls and their deportation to the West Indies under Cromwell, and an old thatched mass house. On the back of the booklet is a promotion for The Catholic Truth Society of Ireland.
