Conflict
The Troubles collection includes items directly associated with the conflict – improved explosive devices, firearms and a bomb disposal robot for example. There is a large collection of material associated with the Northern Ireland Prison Service as well as crafts and artwork created by prisoners in Armagh Women’s Gaol, Maze/Long Kesh and Magilligan. We work with victims and survivors, ex-service personnel, ex-combatants and local communities to collect and curate their experiences and to give them a contextual framework.
