- Late 1890s 1900 woman's cream blouse of machine embroidered net and lace over a fine cream crepe de chine silk base. Back closure with concealed hook and eye fastening. Three quarter length sleeves. Net embroidered with a small repeating flower design. Lace embroidered with a larger design of flowers, lines and dots. High collar and two vertical bands of lace on front panel. Edges of bands criss crossed with fine ribbon of pale blue ribbon, ending in a tassel of the same. Bodice covered with net, pintucked at shoulders and gathered in at the waist to give a pouch effect. Short peplum of silk. Full net sleeves gathered into long, slim lace cuffs with double layer of machine embroidered net. Edge of collar, cuffs and sleeves trimmed in pale blue silk.
