- Description
- Wooden skimming ladle used to skim milk. It is constructed from a single piece of wood, possibly sycamore, with a long slightly curved handle and circular bowl. The interior of the bowl has been turned. Although ladles like this example were mostly used domestically, this particular example was also used by a Presbyterian church near Katesbridge, Co. Down, for collecting donations for the church.
