Description
This spade is a potato digger spade for use during potato harvests. It has a dished blade and wooden shaft with cross piece. This spade was manufactured in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal by the McMahon Brothers, Clones. It is size No. 0. This spade has a long shaft, engraved 'McMahon,' to indicate maker. The long shaft was ideal for creating the potato ridges or for harvesting the potatoes from the ground.
