Description
A linen proof cloth for a damask napkin in unbleached linen with a weft of red yarn. One selvedge, three cut sides. The damask design has a central square and border in a geometric and stylised floral pattern on a plain ground. A large (10 cm x 14 cm) paper label at the lower right side of the cloth carries the proof cloth report , including the information that the cloth was woven at the Lower Lodge works on 14th May 1930.
