1923 - Description
- A linen proof cloth for a damask hand towel. Unbleached linen with a weft of red yarn. The main body of the towel is woven in huckaback with borders of damask in a floral design. A large paper label 10 cm x 14 cm atached to the lower right hand corner carries a proof cloth report, including the information that this cloth was woven at the Lower Lodge works on 5th March 1923. Loom width 40 cm. Unhemmed.
