Description: subject : moustachioed fiddle player, seated, in tweeds. Pasted into the front of this album are various articles referring to a visit by Bigger and three colleagues from Rosapenna to Tory, Dunfanaghy, Gortahork, Gweedore and other places in that immediate area in August 1903. The Glasgow Gaelic Leaguer Stephen Gwynne was also in the region, collecting songs, together with the president of the Glasgow Gaelic League Denis Brogan, who was a native of Falcarragh. They were given the Courthouse in which to hold an impromptu feis on Friday 14th August, with a two hour programme of singing, dancing, fiddling and recitation. The words of 'A Nation Once Again', which they wanted to use as a finale instead of 'God Save Ireland@ were found in Dunfanaghy Police Station, in a book beloging to the local sergeant, a native irish speaker from West Cork.. date : 1903-08
