Description

This mural is one of 46 in the Northern Ireland Prison Service collection, which were painted on boards or partition walls in nissen huts at HMP Maze/Long Kesh. These murals were in the loyalist compounds. It depicts the Ulster Memorial Tower At Thiepval in France, which was erected in November 1921 on what was the German front line during the Battle of the Somme, which was captured by the 36th Ulster Division.
