Description

Two sheets of Loyalist stickers, inscribed to Ormeau 1972. These stickers were produced for an Ulster Vanguard rally at the Ormeau Park, Belfast on 18 March 1972. The rally was attended by a crowd estimated at between 50,000 and 90,000 people. In his speech William Craig, controversially, said; ‘If and when the politicians fail us, it may be our job to liquidate the enemy.’ Less than a week later the British Government announced the suspension of the NI Parliament.
