Description
Brown wool coat with corded crepe weave, knee length, with long set in sleeves. Band of fur round hem, shallower band at cuffs and fur collar. Panel of fancy zig-zag cut down each front to level of the hip button and loop fastening. Button is fancy tortoiseshell inlaid with gilt and mother-of-pearl, art deco design. Lining of gold twill weave wool. A band of this fabric underlies embroidery in gold, cream and brown thread in zig-zag and flower design which decorates reveres to hip level, and lower sleeves. Hook and eye can fasten coat at neck. Label woven purple on cream 'CANNES / JEAN PATOU / 7 RUE ST FLORENTIN PARIS'.
