Description: Brown wool coat with corded crepe weave, knee length, with long set in sleeves. Band of fur round hem, shallower band at cuffs and fur collar. Panel of fancy zig-zag cut down each front to level of the hip button and loop fastening. Button is fancy tortoiseshell inlaid with gilt and mother-of-pearl, art deco design. Lining of gold twill weave wool. A band of this fabric underlies embroidery in gold, cream and brown thread in zig-zag and flower design which decorates reveres to hip level, and lower sleeves. Hook and eye can fasten coat at neck. Label woven purple on cream 'CANNES / JEAN PATOU / 7 RUE ST FLORENTIN PARIS'.
