Hull - Description
- Empire line evening dress of spotted cream net over cream satin. Where the satin is not covered with net: at the edges of the short set in sleeves, waistband, short floating c/b panel, centre front bodice and left front skirt where net is slit from hem to waist is embellished with cream silk and pearl floral embroidery. White glass and pearl fringe at net skirt hem. The boned bodice is fastened c/b with hooks. The net over the bodice is gently draped over shoulders and gathers to waistband. Label woven yellow on cream, sewn to inner waistband 'The height of excellence / established 1839 / COSTUMIERS / MARRI8'
