Description

colour : purple & pink & black. design : evening dress of purple, pink and black artificial silk brocade with strapless bodice and full length straight cut skirt. Bodice is boned and dress lined with black artificial silk and fastens at centre back with metal zip. From waist seam there is a diamond shaped overskirt which is also lined and padded at hips with frills of black net and stiffened black cotton. Brocade evening dress, c.1955 Adorn Model Although a modestly priced, off the peg model, this dress holds its own in the company of haute couture. Its cleverly cut overskirt diminishes the apparent size of the waist, and gives interest to the otherwise simple, straight skirted dress.
