Description
Small damask loom, complete Jacquard head, card cylinder, punched cards, heddles, warping beam and flying shuttle. Driven through gears and pulleys from 1/3 horse power engine by Crompton Parkinson Chelmsford England. Small electric light hung over top. Maker's plate at top reads "Carson & Robinson Makers Belfast". Small piece of woven cloth reads "York St Flax Spng Weaving … Brookfield …". Also mounted on painted steel frame is a detachable plate with 8 x 8 projecing pins to hold wooden pirns (seven in total, two of which are wound with synthetic yarn).
