London - This jacket was worn by an officer of the London Irish Volunteers. It is fashioned from dark grey cloth with green collar and cuffs. The stand up collar has an all round border of silver braid. The green shoulder cords are twisted in an austrian knot at the seam, and with a silver plated button at the top. There are eight silver plated buttons on the front, which has green braid on the edges. The cuffs also show an austrian knot in green cord, oulined in silver braid. There is a metal sword belt hook at waist on the left and a pocket inside the left breast. The tail is slashed to waist, pleated, and has two pockets concealed in it.The body lining is khaki coloured cloth and quilted. The buttons are silver plated copper show a crowned harp surrounded by an inscribed belt.
