c.1803 - Red cloth with blue collar, shoulder straps, cuffs and piping on front and tail pleat. Down the front 3 rows of 11 buttons. There is a white dummy turn back on the front of the tail, on this a blue heart. The cuff is cut to a point on the front seam, is slashed on the back seam and has 3 buttons (1 missing from each cuff). There is a pocket on each side, and seperate ones on the inside, at the tail two pleats with buttons, top and bottom, lined throughout. Buttons, silver plated copper, bearing on an outer ribbon the inscription: "For King and Country", inside this a crowned Maid of Erin Harp. There is no makers name. This is most likely a yeomanry coat from about 1803.
