Description: Badge with half moon fastening and a circular belt inscribed 'Old Contemptibles Association' across which a scroll inscirbed 'Aug 5 to Nov 22,' 1914. The whole is superimposed on crossed swords. Issue Number : 1346 G. The period Aug 5 to Nov 22 1914 was that of the heavy fighting in Northern France and Belgium.
