Description
Red with blue facing, collar & cuffs with white piping. The collar has two small plain silver plated buttons, the top left button on front is engraved: "1st Tyrone Regiment", the right hand one is missing. The buttons are arranged in pairs down the front are plain and have no makers name. There are 2 pairs on the cuff (1 missing off R.H. cuff). The pocket flaps are sewn down, 2 pairs of buttons on each. Two buttons at the back, from these pleats, with a pair of buttons in the middle and one at the bottom. One missing on L.H. side. The turnback has a blue heart on each corner, linen lining. On the right shoulder is a loop for the epaulette (missing) and under the collar an epaulette button. Two pockets in tails. The 1st Tyrone Regiment was a Volunteer Regiment.
