Description
Bronze eight pointed star on which bears the dying Cuchulainn. Reverse, inscription and 1916 ribbon half green, half orange. This medal was struck for the 25th anniversary of the Easter Rising. It was given to those who were in active service or in Oglaigh na Eireann or similar organisations during Easter week 1916. If those who were entitled but had passed away, the medal was given to the next of kin.
