Title: Richard Whitford (Irish Bus & Rail Timetables)
Scope and content: A collection of bus/train timetables and ephemera from Córas Iompair Éireann, Iárnrod Éireann and Translink, incorporating Northern Ireland Railways, Citybus and Ulsterbus, donated by Richard Whitford, a NIR relief signalman and ticket inspector from Bangor West. Contents include: working and district timetables, timetables for holidays or special occasions, weekly circular and operating notices, and ephemera, including, temporary alterations, passenger information, photographs, passenger charters, coach holiday brochures, conductor/driver rosters, traffic arrangements, promotional material and a multitude of leaflets for events including the opening of the cross harbour rail link (1994), Great Victoria Street Station (1995) and the relaunch of the Belfast-Dublin Enterprise train service (1997). Other organisations, including the Belfast Corporation Transport Department, British Rail, The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland, Bus Éireann and Dublin Bus, are represented in the ephemera.
