The memoir recalls his career of forty years in the Ministry of Agriculture, his early days as the son of a blacksmith who worked on the Titanic, his award of the George Medal for assisting a stranded airman in Benone and anecdotes about the ways of county people. Also included is correspondence between Faith Gibson of the University of Ulster and Ben’s son regarding the possible publication of the memoir.
