Scope and content: A scrapbook with newspaper cuttings, photos, articles and letters about the petrified body of a giant discovered by John Dyer near the Giant's Causeway and proclaimed as being "Patrick" or "Finn MacCoul." This proved to be a hoax conducted by sculptor Giuseppe Sala, John Dyer, and Edward Ford to extract money from gullible parties, and the "body" was later used to fill in a London bomb crater. There are accounts of similar scams, such as the Cardiff Giant.
