Letter from John Cleland to his father. John says that Mary Jelly has found her sister's place but that she is on her way to Liverpool. He says he has sold his box 'for I thought the taking of it home would cost more than it would be worth.' Includes a list of clothes that he will be sending home. Postscript says that he recieved '5 shirts, 2 breasts, 4 neck handkerchiefs and 2 towels' from Mary Jelly. Sent to Drumaglish from Glasgow.
