Letter to John's brother, Hugh. John writes that he recieved Hugh's letter and is sorry to hear of the robbery of his grandfather's house. He then debates what should happen to the youth who was responsible for the robbery. John writes that their ship got a telegraph from the Admiralty to take 700 French prisoners and imprison them, but the depots in Scotland are not yet ready to recieve them. Also mentions other depots in England and Scotland being filled with prisoners of war, with England's total amounting to 164,000 and 15,000 being sent to Scotland recently.
