Letter to John's brother, Hugh. John writes that he is sorry to hear that 'Ireland must still be drenched in slaughter and blood, and as there are so few soldiers in the kingdom it will be a difficult thing to restore there again.' He states there is a possibility of a fleet being sent to the coast of Ireland to prevent invasion. John's ship will have to wait six weeks before being sent to the Baltic Sea.
