The Oral History Society was founded in 1973 with regional representation in Great Britain and Northern Ireland, to promote, collect, preserve, and use recorded memories and to facilitate and develop the use of oral history. Members include social scientists, archivists and broadcasters, working in community projects, libraries, museums, archives and academic institutions.
Contents include: membership lists, receipts and correspondence.
