- Letter from John Cleland to his father. John says he regrets not getting money from Michael Steed before receiving the last letter from his father. John asks that his father go to Belfast and ask the Merchants if he could draw some money out or exchange some gold for Scotch notes and send it in a letter to him. He mentions some books he has bought and of two Irish women from near Saintfield who wash his shirts for 3 pence. Sent from Glasgow to Ballynahinch.
