Description
Aughnahoe Infantry. Wooden. On the front, a crowned shield, bearing the cypher `GIIIR', on a trophy of flags & arms. Across the bottom of the shield a scroll inscribed `AGHNAHOE INFANTRY', under this a cartouche bearing a Maid of Erin to the left a powder barrel & plumed helmet, to right a plaque bearing the sun, and a pair of drums, with fringed covers, there are cannon ball scattered underneath. These all in full colour. The union flag shown is the pre 1803 style. The hoops are painted white with a black line undulating round them. colour : white & black (hoops).
