Monaghan, Paula

Paula Monaghan was born in 1969 and as a child she produced a series of drawings in response to her experiences and what she witnessed, for example visiting her brother in prison, army raids taking place on their home and her mother helping someone who had been shot. Paula created this scrapbook during an art and design course, as part of her project on the theme of conflict, which brought together her childhood drawings and later reflections.
