Description

Boot worn by a Private of the 10th Battalion UDR when he was shot on the ankle when his patrol came under fire on the M1 bridge at Ladybrook. The boot is mounted on wood and a bullet hole can be seen on the ankle. The patrol were en route to South Armagh on Friday 13th February 1976, the day after Frank Stagg died on hunger strike in England. Enclosed letter from his Major General sent to him at at Musgrave Park hospital extending his sympathy and best wishes.
