Belfast - Description
- Lottery ticket numbered 16M840 for the year 1753. The ticket reads: 'This ticket will intitle the Bearer to Half the Sum, Irish Currency, arising to the same Number, if drawn in PRIZE, in the present LOTTERY in England; to be paid at the Bank in Belfasts, Fifty Days after the Drawing of the said Lottery is finished; pursuant to the scheme published here, for erecting a Poor-House and Hospital, and for building a church.' Signed 'R. Wilson', 'J. Getty'. On the back in pencil: 'Presented by Mr. J. Thomas Elliott, 19th [Feb] 46'.
