- Stereoscope Photograph showing a view of a burst shell. 'Disaster on the Dunes; the Huns blow up the bridges and isolate our hard-pressed battalions.' Near Nieuport, in Belgium, the Battle of the Dunes featured an attempt by the Germans to gain full control of the North Sea and Channel coasts.
