Description
design : silk day dress printed with multicoloured flowers on black background, centre back opening which fastens with 8 self covered buttons, the front of the bodice is elaborately decorated with finely pleated frills of the same material forming distinctive shapes. There are two darts above waitband on either side of central frill. The waistband consists of a length of fabric horizontally tucked at the centre, edged with the pleated frill ending in an untrimmed sash which ties at centre back. The skirt is gored and slightly flared with a full-trimmed hem. The short sleeves are gathered at the shoulder to form a puff which is accentuated by a black horsehair frill sewn to inside shoulder seam as padding. The sleeves are also trimmed at edges by self-frills.
