Vanguard Unionist poster, printed blue and day-glo orange on white. 'Say No to a Council of Ireland.' The party was opposed to the government’s proposals for an enforced power-sharing executive and a formalised North-South Irish Dimension. Vanguard received 10.5% of first preference votes in the election and won seven seats.
