Poster issued by the SDLP, Candidate Caraher for South Belfast Assembly Elections 1973. Ben Caraher stood for the SDLP in South Belfast and received 3,320 first preference votes but was not elected. He was the SDLP candidate in both 1974 Westminster elections but was unsuccessful and also stood in the 1975 Convention and 1982 Northern Ireland Assembly elections but was also unsuccessful in those contests.
