Description
Pot : urn : cordoned Two cordons encircle this pot. The rim has a deep internal bevel decorated with a chevron between two pairs of horizontal lines all executed in twisted cord. Externally decoration occurs between the rim and first cordon. It is made up of two major motifs, one in a lattice pattern and another in three bands of which two are filled with alternating oblique lines while the third is a repeat of the lattice pattern, but on a smaller scale. All of this ornamentation is carried out in fine twisted cord. There is no further decoration on this vessel. The ware is coarse and gritty and grain impressions occur on the body surface. It is buff to brown in colour.
