Lynn Doyle was the pen name of Leslie Alexander Montgomery, the Ulster comic writer and a Northern Bank manager. Born in 1873 in Downpatrick, he authored several plays and more than twenty books. This archive includes photographs of the family farmhouse at Ballydonety, Doyle with members of Dunmurry Golf Club (1913), with William Conor and Richard Rowley, a letter written and signed by Doyle in 1927, and a handwritten account by Doyle of his literary output prepared for Eason's in 1948. Also included is correspondence to Robert Sparkes, addressed to the Northern Bank, Fintona, with signed books by Lynn Doyle and Robert Bratton, inscribed with Sparkes' signature.
