Kane's Foundry in Larne was founded by William Hugh Kane in about 1887. It specialised in welding, blacksmithing, steel fabrication, engine overhauling, metal processing and manufacturing, iron founding and casting. A major employer in the town, it was to close in 1986.
This archive consists of large technical drawings of railings and gates, street gratings, haycart gears or ruck shifters, tractor strakes, dovetailers, and potato sorter parts. Also, production charts for 1945/46.
